Happy Valentine's Day

Marriage is Marvelous on Mondays but most especially when that day happens to be Valentines Day! What a wonderful day for the celebration of Marriage – not that you have to do any more than just be that best spouse that you can possibly be on this day.
I am not all about the commercialization of all these holidays that have sprung up through the years. However I do love and approve of little inexpensive ways of affirming ones love for the significant other in their life – whatever the day of the month or year. And every so often we do need reminders to set aside time to express the love we have to one another.
I remember with fondness the exchange of Valentines in school when I was a kid. It was fun the night before, going through the package and selecting just the right one for each friend and then, writing their name and signing yours just so. With the exception of a few years, our kids were schooled at home but they would still make sure friends had cards.
So, all in all this is a good day – a good day to share love, remember love, acknowledge the special ones in your own life.
Happy Valentines Day everyone – am praying your day is love-filled to overflowing!

Lowell and Robin - 32 years and counting on many more!
Love is a miracle, sweet as can be,
That will always remain a complete mystery.
For though it is something that’s centuries old,
It cannot be purchased for silver or gold.
But instead must be given of one’s own free will,
And received with no promises it must fulfil.
And once it’s exchanged in this time-honoured way,
There’s nothing that love cannot manage to say.
No problems too great and no problems too small,
For love, like a miracle, conquers them all.
And leaves in their place such a feeling of peace,
That joy, just like love, cannot help but increase!
*

Love is patient and kind;
Love is not jealous or boastful;
It is not arrogant or rude.
Love does not insist on its own ways;
It is not irritable or resentful;
It does not rejoice at wrong.
But rejoices in the right.
Love bears all things,
Believes all things,
Hopes all things,
Endures all things.
Love never ends…
So Faith,
Hope,
Love abide,
These three;
But the greatest of these is
Love.
