Trash to Treasures ...

Finally. At long last. It’s about time.
Yep, just within the past week or so have I had the urge to create.  I’m beyond doubt excited about it. I have projects floating around in my head and even making themselves apparent as notes in my art journal.   I've been accumulating cans, lids and jars recently and I'm rather excited about the future they signify. I’ve been kind of longing for my craft-times in Honduras.  Many of those crafts were out of recycled bits and pieces and so I’ve made a point to save this stuff that truly could become something. You see, I am ready for a fresh start.
Yes,  ...
·         finally, it’s there – in my heart!
·         at long last, like this itch that has to be scratched …
·         it’s about time I feel like I genuinely must DO a bit of ART!!

I really believe, no, I actually know, it’s because it’s Spring … and all things are raring to blossom into loveliness – even the inspirations of my heart.
Very soon I will post the treasures made from some of this! Stay tuned ;)

Pink Morning

It's a fine April morning! I was out with the doggie in the wee hours - in fact, two of the grands were going hunting (it's Youth Hunting day hereabouts) so, Daddy and Poppy were taking the girls. I waved them off on their way. The wind was nippy and brisk so I didn't tarry! I rushed back in for my morning cuppa java and quiet time. Sweet minutes of the day. However, within a half-hour or thereabouts, I glanced out the window to see pink! Beautiful! Fluffy pink clouds from here to there - so pretty I had to take some shots of my own!

Here they are, in sequential views, from front of the house to back.
Didn't quite grasp the 'pinkness' of it all but, still very lovely.

Thanks to the Lord, creator of all, who shares good gifts with His children -
 they are new every morning.
Hope your day is beautiful!

Ending note: in the brilliance of the full-blown sunrise all the pink has turned to gold!
My life is filled with fingerprints of the Father and therefore, I am wonderfully blessed.

April Sunshine

A week ago we had snow in the morning!

We went for a drive

we stopped at the state park dam and took pcitures

and took some along the roadways

back at home it was really coming down!

within a few hours it was totally gone ...hmmm... our fickle spring!
For right now, today,
I am so thankful for sunny days - well, we're at four in a row and yes, I'm counting!
Also, we're finally, at long last, experiencing warm temps so,
my morale is up and my energy renewed.
I'm looking forward to some springtime crafts to liven up our outdoors.
  •  wind-chimes,
  • gourd birdhouses,
  •  sun-catchers ...
Here's a little thought to share from one of my favorite authors, Alton Howard -
Springtime is God thinking in color, speaking in bouquets, and laughing in the happy sounds of birds twittering in the trees. And the angels say, " beautiful!"
